Wardrobes in a newly-built barn conversion.

This is a 5.5metre long run of shaker style wardrobes we completed.

The external frames and doors are made from tulip wood and painted in Farrow & ball ‘Dix Blue’ No.82.

The internal carcases and drawer boxes are constructed from Oak veneer Medite, the drawer boxes glide beautifully on Blum Movento soft-close drawer runners with a high load capacity (as standard). We used Carlise brass hardware finished in dark bronze.

All units bar the centre one contained LED lighting using PIR sensors, so when the doors are open the lights come on.

The centre unit contains a pocket door system so this means that the doors return back inside the unit when you’re watching tv so the doors do not pretude into the room and when you’ve finished watching, the tv is behind doors.

We used our extra large contemporary cornice and plinth on this job, as the room warrants a big cornice for the size of the wardrobes as they were also a lot taller than a standard height set. As this was the case we also installed 2 sets of pull down hanging rails to ensure it was easy for the client to access their clothes on hangers.
